Already both established and respected companies in their own right the Purple Funeral Company and the family funeral business of A. W. Hughes & Son first began working together in 2004.

The purpose of this collaboration is to preserve the traditional values of a caring and compassionate service whilst recognising and embracing the changing requirements and expectations of our clients in the 21st Century.

There is an increasing demand for a more individual, appropriate and 'life centered' approach to a funeral.  Eco-friendly 'green' funerals, humanist ceremonies and hand painted coffins are just a few of the choices now available alongside the more traditional funeral services.

Both companies offer pre-paid funerals through Funeral Planning Services Ltd. and are approved by Funeral Planning Authority Ltd. as registered providers.
